Keep the journey together
List each arriving flight or ferry, the arrival point and the travellers on it. If guests arrive separately, decide whether they need separate transfers or can reasonably travel together. Confirm the meeting point and how the driver and guests will contact one another; a destination name alone is not an arrival plan.
Count luggage as well as passengers
A vehicle needs to accommodate both the group and its bags. Mention large suitcases, sports equipment, pushchairs or other bulky items when requesting transport. If child seats or specific access arrangements are needed, request and confirm them beforehand rather than assuming they will be available at pickup.
Confirm the last part of the route
Share the exact villa location and the property’s arrival instructions. Ask whether the vehicle can reach the entrance, where luggage can be unloaded and who will meet you. These small details matter particularly when a group is unfamiliar with the area or arriving after dark.
Connect transport with check-in
Confirm the check-in time and what options exist if you arrive earlier. Do not assume that an early flight guarantees immediate access to the villa. Ask about luggage arrangements and agree a practical plan with the property contact. Make sure everyone travelling understands the same arrangement.
Allow for changes
Keep an accessible contact number and agree how to communicate travel delays. Ask the transport provider about waiting time and changes before booking. If a connection or arrival time changes, update the relevant contacts promptly rather than relying on each provider to discover the change independently.
Use one final checklist
Before departure, check passenger names and numbers, luggage, pickup details, contact numbers, villa access and any agreed arrival services. Lyons can help discuss transfers, chauffeurs and car arrangements alongside your Greece villa stay. Share the complete itinerary so the options can be confirmed around your group.
